Perks

There are a multitude of things to do in Sai Kung Hong Kong. Popular with day trippers, Sai Kung and its surrounding areas are renowned for their pristine white sandy beaches and country parks for picnicking, hiking, or even seeing the water buffalo who venture into some of the more remote rural areas near Sai Kung Country Park.

For sailors, a members-only Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club restaurant commands superb scenic views towards luxurious boats moored in Shelter Cove.

Beaches such as Sai Wan Beach, Tai Long Wan, Sha Ha Beach, Ham Tin Beach, and Hap Mun Bay Beach are stunningly beautiful, where the white sand and clear seas feel almost as if you're holidaying in another tropical island outside of Hong Kong!

Swimmers and watersport enthusiasts can try out kayaking, SUP, snorkelling, and other activities at several of these beaches. The Sai Kung waterfront promenade, Sai Kung pier, and Pak Sha Wan pier are home to many speedboats for hire that will readily take you to these beaches or other outlying islands for even more exploration.

For those who prefer the mountains, Sai Kung has many hiking trails. Hike portions of the infamous MacLehose Trail starting from Sai Wan Pavilion down to the beach, or really get your heart rate up by climbing Sharp Peak.
