The picturesque Southside continues to hold its own as one of Hong Kong's favourite and most popular neighbourhoods with the best of lifestyle offerings from excellent schools and hiking trails to great restaurants. Our favourites include Amalfitana for pizza with the kids, margaritas at Limewood & Thai food at Sip Song, all located at The Pulse adjacent to Repulse Bay beach. We also love the cool new coffee spot Commune for a flat white and avocado on toast. With all these on offer, plus plenty of exciting things to do in the area, it's not surprising Southside property demand continues to rise in HK.

Our latest property listings feature everything from quaint gardens and terraces to panoramic sea views with prime beachside locations.

Things to Do on the Southside

The Southern district of Hong Kong promises delightful days out for the whole family, with a bounty of fun things to do right on its doorstep. Nature lovers will never tire of the beautiful views over the famous Dragon’s Back hike, or the charm of Rhino Rock which features one of the most impressive rock formations in the city. Those partial to the sea will find their peace at one of Southside’s many beaches, be it Repulse Bay, Deep Water Bay, or Stanley. A range of restaurants, bars, and cafes are also readily available for a well-deserved post-hike or post-swim drink.

For special occasions or a family treat, Ocean Park is always a hit, from its range of thrilling theme park rides to its amazing aquariums. The neighbouring Water World is a popular choice for Hong Kongers during the summer, providing the perfect way to cool down with a splash. There are also plenty of hotels in the Southside for visiting guests or a relaxing family staycation.

Southside Amenities

Aside from all the leisure options, the Southside is also home to a multitude of competitive international schools, including ESF’s Kennedy School, South Island School, and West Island School, and private schools such as Hong Kong International School and German Swiss International School.

Properties on the Southern district are easily accessible by several bus and minibus routes, as well as taxi and car. Comprehensive supermarkets, shops, and fitness centres are readily available in the area.
