Living in Midlevels
Midlevels is located just behind Central. It is one of the most popular areas for expatriates to live as it’s convenient to Central. It is a high density living environment and there is a mixture of apartment towers – many of which are very prestigious and offer amazing views and extensive facilities such as pools, gyms, tennis courts etc.
There are also older style apartments that tend to offer larger spaces at a cheaper price, but may be lacking in the quality of kitchens and bathrooms and often do not have amenities.
Western Midlevels (Robinson, Conduit and Caine Roads) is more densely populated with high-rise towers compared to Eastern Midlevels – which tends to have more older-style low-rise blocks (Macdonnell, Kennedy and Magazine Gap Roads).
The area has good public transport and taxis are very accessible. Western Midlevels also features an escalator that takes people down to Central in the morning and then back up to Midlevels in the evening.

Things to do in Midlevels
Midlevels is located within 5 minutes of Central and the restaurant area of SOHO. SOHO is a relaxed area filed with great restaurants, cafes, bars and eclectic shops. Some of our favorite places include: Shu Hu Jui, Olive, Boca and Staunton Street Café.
Midlevels, although located so close to Central is also very accessible to jogging and hiking trails. You can easily hike up to the Peak or right though to the south side of the island from most locations in Midlevels. The following websites have detailed information on hiking:

Some great hikes include:
- Bowen Road is a flat 8 km running path and from here you can connect to trails that lead to the Peak or South Side.
- Green or Morning Trail both lead up to the Peak from May Road, or Po Shan Road.
- Black’s Link, from Bowen Road; you take Wong Nai Chung Gap Road and connect through to the trails in Black’s link and the Aberdeen Country Park.
