You need a working visa to work in Hong Kong. Generally your
company will organize this before you arrive. Once the primary
visa has been granted, you can apply for dependant visas
for your spouse and children. The dependancy visa laws have
recently been changed and dependants are now required to
gain their own work visa. After receiving your HKID, you
are required by law to carry it with you at all times.
To apply for your HKID or to enquire about status change, call
the Immigration Department hotline ph 2842 6111. Immigration
Department hours are: Monday-Friday 8.45am-4.30pm and
Saturday 9am-11:30am. Make sure you take a book
with
you
as there can be long waits. |
