There are numerous schools across Hong Kong with high academic standards suited to all nationalities. Curriculum is normally divided into British or North American, but there are also specific nationality schools such as the Australian or French International Schools. The majority of schools (except ESF) operate on a debenture system, which can often result in waiting lists or difficulty getting into specific schools. It is important to get on waiting lists as soon as possible. Also check with your companies HR department to see if there are debentures available to you. The ESF (English Schools Foundation) offers primary and secondary education across 18 Schools in Hong Kong. The Curriculum leads to GCSE and GCE “A” Level qualifications. The school your child attends depends entirely on the neighborhood in which you live.
